Drawing of Wells Cathedral Facade
A link to my Facebook page showing some recent drawings, including a large A2 pencil drawing of the highly decorative facade of Wells Cathedral in Somerset. When I was a kid my Mum who was an infant school teacher used to drag me and her class along to May Day Country dancing on the Green in front of the Cathedral and I've always been moved by the spectacular and intricate beauty of this miniature Somerset Notre Dame. The damage wrought by the iconoclasts of the Reformation is still easily visible on all the statuary which they could reach from the ground.
